The Power of Partnerships: Why We’re Launching Our Referral Program

This month we are celebrating 11 years since starting CREATIVA, and it feels like the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and share/create something new.

When we first began this journey, we had no idea just how much community and connection would shape our business. Over the years, one thing has become very clear: we never grow alone. Every step forward, every new project, every client we have had, has come from some sort of relationships, recommendations, and most of them came from women who believed in us and shared our name with someone else.

For our business, growth hasn’t come from big advertising campaigns or flashy social media strategies. For us, it always comes from something simpler and much more human. It comes from partnerships, collaborations, and referrals. It has come from women supporting women, lifting each other up, and creating opportunities together.

That truth has been at the heart of CREATIVA for more than a decade, and now, as we mark our 11th birthday, we feel inspired to launch of something we’ve had in our minds for years: our own referral program.

Why partnerships matter for women in business

The saying “it takes a village” is usually reserved for raising children, but the same can be said for building a business. Behind every hard-working woman entrepreneur there is often a network of peers, mentors, and supporters. For women in business, this network can be particularly powerful because it is rooted in shared experiences and a deep understanding of the same challenges we face.

Referrals are one of the most trusted and effective ways to grow a business. According to Nielsen, people are four times more likely to buy when a product or service is recommended by a friend

Unlike paid ads, which can sometimes feel intrusive or overwhelming, a referral comes with a sense of credibility and trust. When someone says “I know a designer you should talk to” or “CREATIVA helped me and they could help you too,” it carries a weight that no campaign budget can replicate.

Over the years, we have seen this play out time and again. Many of our favourite projects have begun with a simple recommendation. A client introduces us to a friend who is ready to take her business online. A coach suggests us to one of their clients who has outgrown a DIY website. A consultant mentions us during a strategy session with someone who is ready to invest in their brand. These moments of connection have shaped our growth far more than any single marketing effort.

Our story: Referrals at the heart of CREATIVA

From the beginning, referrals have been part of CREATIVA’s story. Back in the early days, we often worked with women who had tried to create their own websites but realised they needed more support. Many of them found us not through Google searches or ads, but because someone they trusted recommended us.

As we grew, referrals continued to play a key role. Coaches, consultants, and peers who saw the value of our work would send people our way. These were not just transactions, they became long-term relationships. Some of the women we met through referrals went on to redesign their websites with us years later, or to join our Website Care Plans where we continue to support them as their businesses evolve.

It is not just the projects themselves that have been meaningful, but the relationships that came with them. Referrals are often the start of a connection that feels personal and aligned. When someone refers us, they are saying “I believe in what you do, and I want to share it.” That sense of community and trust has been at the heart of CREATIVA’s success.

Over time, we realised that referrals were happening naturally, without any formal program. People were already recommending us because they believed in, or have seen, the value of our work. We wanted to find a simple and genuine way to grow this, and that is how the idea for our referral program was born.

How our referral program works

We designed our referral program to be as simple as possible. There are no complicated forms to fill out, no time commitments, etc. It is built on trust, just like the referrals that inspired it.

Here is how it works:

  1. Sign up: Complete the short referral partner form on our website.
  2. Introduce us: When you know someone who needs a website, send a personal introduction email connecting them with us (copying us in or starting a group email).
  3. We do the work: We’ll take it from there, answer their questions, share proposals, and you’ll get updated on the progress.
  4. Get rewarded: If the client approve, sign up for the project and their first payment is processed, we’ll send you your referral fee.

This program is particularly well suited to coaches, consultants, and professionals who already work with women in business. Often, you are the first to hear when someone is ready to take that next step in growing their brand. By making a referral, you not only help your client or colleague connect with the right support, but you also benefit from the process.

Why we created it this way

We know that many professionals already recommend us because they want to see their clients succeed. By keeping the program simple, we are making it easy for you to continue doing what you are already doing, but with an added bonus. There is no need to track codes, remember links, or manage extra paperwork. Just a straightforward thank you for helping us connect with more women who are ready to grow their businesses online.

An invitation to celebrate with us

Launching this program during our 11th anniversary feels especially meaningful.

Over the past decade we have learned that business growth is rarely a solo effort. It is built on community, trust, and shared success. By creating this referral program, we are simply formalising something that has always been part of our story and part of our values.

If you are a coach, consultant, or professional who would like to refer women in business to CREATIVA, we would love to connect with you. This is not just about commissions or transactions, it is about creating more opportunities for women to succeed.

Looking ahead, our vision for CREATIVA is to continue growing in partnership with others. We want to see more women step into their next stage of growth with websites that truly support their businesses. We want to keep building a community where collaboration is the foundation and success is something we celebrate together.

Because when women support each other, we all rise. And as we celebrate 11 years of CREATIVA, we know this is only the beginning.
